The home stands in its own large gardens and is located just half a mile north of Torquay's picturesque harbour in Devon. It is important that residents feel "at home" rather than just "living in a home". We actively promote, encourage and honour individual choice in virtually every aspect of our residents' stay with us.


Accommodation at Greycliffe Manor is provided by 25 single rooms, mostly en-suite, with the others benefiting from adjoining private bathrooms. The double rooms can be used for single or double occupancy. 7 of the rooms are on the ground floor and there is a stair lift to the first floor.

All are individually and tastefully decorated and we encourage residents to bring small personal items or small pieces of furniture with which to personalise their room further.

Some of our rooms have garden views and all rooms have their own individual character, and have:

  • Its own emergency and aid call bell.
  • Fitted carpets & curtains and comfortably furnished.
  • Centrally heated, with their own in-room heating control.
  • T.V. aerial socket with excellent digital reception.
  • Telephone point.
  • WiFi Access.
  • Emergency call system, so that even in the privacy of our resident's own room, a helping hand is always nearby, if required.

We also have rooms which are wheelchair accessible, including an accessible bathroom.

Communal areas offer all the comforts an benefits of living in an environment that retains everything a home should portray.

Greycliffe Manor

Greycliffe is a delightful villa situated in the quiet and exclusive Warberries area of Torquay and is set in two stunning acres of manicured, lawned gardens filled with mature trees and flowering shrubs.Greycliffe provide a luxurious yet homely environment for retired elderly people who have reached a stage in their lives when they require support in their daily life

Whether relaxing in the lounge overlooking the gardens, or taking advantage of a pleasant day on the delightful patio, our guests and visitors can enjoy the peace and tranquillity that Greycliffe Manor has to offer. Our gardens offer a safe environment for walking and there are numerous secluded areas in which to relax and enjoy the flora and fauna.

In addition to the three main lounges there are smaller alcoves and conservatory areas throughout the home, giving residents the choice of privacy or socialising.

We operate our dining rooms in the style of a high quality restaurant with waiter / waitress service and plenty of choice and menu variation and daily 3 course lunch. The rooms have lovely views over the gardens and countryside beyond.

Breakfast in bed is always available, the choice is always yours.

All laundry is prepared in-house using professional equipment.

We operate a No Smoking policy throughout the building with a facility at the rear of the building for residents and visitors.

Inhouse Amenities

We have a visiting Hairdresser who visits at least once a week and Chiropodist; Optician; Dentist and Clergy of all denominations, several of whom run services or visit on request; GP of own choice and District Nurse service; Reflexologist; Manicurist and visiting Library Service. We have our own transport arrangements for regular local trips and transporting residents to various clinics or medical appointments.


Friends and relatives are most welcome to visit and participate in activities and outings or to join them for lunch. Families are especially welcome to join in celebrating birthdays and special occasions enjoying mouth-watering home made cakes.

As we always encourage visits, there are normally no restrictions or fixed hours for visiting, and we have ample car parking, so the family can use us as a base for shopping when visiting.


We know how important they are in our lives and we are happy for you to bring your pet with you to your new home. Subject to availability, we have a number of rooms with French doors giving direct access to the garden making them an ideal home to share with your pet.


We know how important house or garden plants can be to you; so why not bring them with you when you move in? We have dozens of house plants around the home that need plenty of TLC. Why not join our Gardening Club and help with watering, plant care, propagating and flower arranging? We even have outdoor borders and a greenhouse ready for green fingers!
